Getting There

Distances by Road:

• Ouarzazate to Sahara Safari Camp (235 km, 3-4 hours)
• Marrakech to Sahara Safari Camp (435 km, 6-7 hours)
• Taroudant to Sahara Safari Camp (440 km, 6-7 hours)
• Agadir (via Tazenakht) to Sahara Safari Camp (520 km, 7-8 hours)
• Imlil (via Tizi n’Test) to Sahara Safari Camp (540 km, 7-8 hours)

By Private Transfer

Transfers to/from camp from Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Zagora or Agadir can be arranged by us in either a Toyota H1 style people carrier vehicle, or by 4×4 (for adventurous off-road tours).

By Public Bus (CTM)

If you are travelling on a longer budget/independent travel adventure through Morocco you can reach Tagounite by public bus (CTM) from Marrakech (or Ouarzazate).  There is a daily bus from Marrakech which departs at 11 AM, arriving at Tagounite at approx. 7 PM.  The bus makes 3 stops en route and costs 145 dirhams per person each way (and sometimes a small charge for luggage).  Our staff will meet you in Tagounite and transfer you to camp from there by high-clearance vehicle (100 dirhams per person).

By Hire Car

If you are considering a self-drive holiday in a hire car, you can park securely in Tagounite at the petrol station and we can pick you up from there by local high-clearance vehicle suitable for the road/sand track conditions that lead to camp (100 dirhams per person). There is a small nightly charge for parking. If you travel in a self-drive 4×4 you will be able to drive directly to camp after rendezvous with one of our camp staff in Tagounite who will guide you.

On a Guided Small Group Adventure Tour

The Sahara Safari Camp is included on several escorted tour or tailor-made itineraries from Marrakech or Agadir.
